About
I am driven by a passion for the built environment and a belief that it can create a positive impact in the society. Right through my bachelors’ and masters’ education, the central theme to all my design and research work has been sustainable and equitable development. My experience of studying and working in different cities i.e. Hyderabad, Chennai, Dubai and Mumbai have added a great deal to my understanding of various cultures and nuances of policymaking and its impact on the users.
I have made a conscious attempt to diversify my work experience by working and collaborating with professionals ranging from Architects and Planners to Geographers and Urban Anthropologists. These experiences have helped me understand the multifaceted nature of the fascinating idea that is a City.
At JNAFAU, I hope to further expand my knowledge in the areas of Urban Design, Informal Housing and Sustainable Development to eventually get involved in a full time research in a relevant field.
